Seeing With Photography

During college I was lucky enough to be involved with the Metro Photo Club. The club brings visiting artists to MCC for lectures, shows and workshops.  In 2003 a group based out of New York, the Seeing With Photography Collective, was at MCC to host a workshop. The group consists mainly of visually impaired photographers but they work closely with other photographers that help with an open shutter, paint with light process. The S.W.P.C kept all of the negatives that they captured but left behind the Polaroid negatives that the clubbers exposed. I printed and now finally share the pics that I took part in.

Emily + Kam

Standing Bear Lake, Omaha, worked well for the Rokon wedding portraits.

13609 California Street

A really fantastic building that you can’t miss if you’re driving on West Dodge Road. At any time of day it will reflect, absorb and play brilliantly with all available light. The 1/4 glass cylinder was an awesome move. Gensler may have designed it with help locally from Holland Basham Architects.

Hovermale Family

I had the opportunity to photograph one of Kate’s regular clients a few weeks ago. They’re a really cool family and were super fun to photograph.
